Phillips Petroleum Company merged with Conoco, Inc. in 2002 to form the current ConocoPhillips oil company.So, when Bill talks about oil and gas issues, I tend to listen - very closely. I think that you will find Bill's thoughts and facts very revealing, very compelling and very difficult to argue with. May 28, 2008 "Big Oil" Did you know that the United States does NOT have any big oil companies. It's true: the largest American oil company, Exxon Mobil, is only the 14th largest in the world, and is dwarfed by the really big oil companies--all owned by foreign governments or government-sponsored monopolies--that dominate the world's oil supply. With 94% of the world's oil supply locked up by foreign governments, most of which are hostile to the United States, the relatively puny American oil companies do not have access to enough crude oil to significantly affect the market and help bring prices down. Thus, ExxonMobil, a "small" oil company, buys 90% of the crude oil that it refines for the U.S. market from the big players, i.e, mostly-hostile foreign governments. The price at the U.S. pump is rising because the price the big oil companies charge ExxonMobil and the other small American companies for crude oil is going up as the value of the American dollar goes down. They will eventually bleed this country into printing even more money and we will go into runway inflation once again as we did under the Carter Democratic reign.This is obviously a tough situation for the American consumer. The irony is that it doesn't have to be that way. The United States--unlike, say, France--actually has vast petroleum reserves. It would be possible for American oil companies to develop those reserves, play a far bigger role in international markets, and deliver gas at the pump to American consumers at a much lower price, while creating many thousands of jobs for Americans. This would be infinitely preferable to shipping endless billions of dollars to Saudi Arabia, Russia and Venezuela to be used in propping up their economies.So, why doesn't it happen? Because the Democrat Party--aided, sadly, by a handful of Republicans--deliberately keeps gas prices high and our domestic oil companies small by putting most of our reserves off limits to development. China is now drilling in the Caribbean, off Cuba but our own companies are barred by law from developing large oil fields off the coasts of Florida and California. Enormous oil-shale deposits in the Rocky Mountain states could go a long way toward supplying American consumers' needs, but the Democratic Congress won't allow those resources to be developed. ANWR contains vast petroleum reserves, but we don't know how vast, because Congress, not wanting the American people to know how badly its policies are hurting our economy, has made it illegal to explore and map those reserves, let alone develop them.In short, all Americans are paying a terrible price for the Democratic Party's perverse energy policies. I own some small interests in tiny, 4 barrel-per-day oil wells in Wyoming. We have 14 agencies that have iron-hand jurisdiction over us. If we drop any oil on the ground when the refinery truck comes to pick up oil from our holding tanks, we are fined. Yet down the road the state will spray thousands of gallons of used oil on a dirt road to control dirt. When it rains that oil runs into rivers and creeks. Yet a cup of oil on the ground at our wellhead is a $50,000 EPA fine plus additional fines from state regulating agencies. They treat oil as if it were plutonium that has the potential to leak into the environment. We are fined if our dirt burms are not high enough around a holding tank, yet the truck that picks up our oil runs down the road at 60 mph with no burm around it. People wonder why there is no more exploration in this country. It's because of the regulators; people who have lived their whole lives doing nothing but imposing fines on small operators like us for doing mostly nothing.So, America enjoy your $4.00 per gallon gasoline. Your dollar is now worth 0.62 Euro-Cents. The lack of American production of GNP, the massive trade deficit (as labor markets have moved overseas to fight insanely high union imposed labor costs in America) and the run away printing of money (backed by nothing of value here in America) has caused the dollar to become more worthless on the international market. And that's where our oil comes from. It's paid for with dollars that become more worthless everyday. If we had just kept par with the Euro we'd be paying $62 dollars per barrel for oil (42 gallons) or about $1.50 instead of $2.50 a gallon for crude oil.What the US government also does not tell you is that it is the leaseholder and royalty recipient of most oil production and receives 25% of the gross oil sales before we pay for electricity to lift the oil, propane to keep the oil-water separators from freezing in the winters. We pay a pumper to visit each well everyday plus we have equipment failures all the time. We pay for that out of our 75% of gross sales. The government does not share in any expenses to run any production well. So, if the Big Oil Companies are making record profits, then so is the federal government from it's 25% tax on every molecule of oil sold to a refinery in this country. Why isn't the government on the stand for "Record" profits? What you don't see is this 25% of the sales price of crude oil being siphoned away by the government. That money plus the road taxes, state taxes, etc. amounts to over $1 per gallon of gasoline you are buying while the governments only admit to about 50 cents per gallon.To all you Democrats, when you go vote for your candidate, a blazing liberal like Barrack Hussein Obama or Hillary Clinton, just keep in mind that their liberal spending habits will further decrease the value of the American dollar on the world market and your gasoline costs will hike even higher. As they introduce more give-away programs, raise taxes on everyone to pay people not to produce or work, your dollar will continue to dwindle on the world market and you will be paying $10.00 per gallon at the next election. Cheap hydrocarbon fuel is all over. Enjoy! Muslim Insanity

From the reaction of the press/media and e-mail sites, the "movie" by Geert Wilder's (Fitna)(Netherlands) scheduled for release in a few days, depicting the total loonecy and barbarism of the "que-ran" (spelling...there's many ways to spell the name of book...but ya'll get the idea!) has surly caused serious threats to his life, the web-site that I had the brief opportunity to view the film before the muslim threats to kill them all if they did'nt remove it from public viewing, , including burning government buildings, etc. etc., a typical reaction of the islamafacists....as proven in Sweden when a CARTOON of a muslim with a bomb in his "diaper" with a fuse in it, caused untold $$$$$$ in damages to the rampaging screwball's "avenging" their sacred idol being depicted as a "terrorist".... How could any reasonably "sane" person (Christian/Jew/Agnostic, etc.) possibly come to that conclusion after the public viewing of these morons' beheading a "infidel", defacing young women, blowing children up in buss'es, enlisting little boys and girls to become "terrorist bomber's", and DEMANDING SHARIA law be imposed on Nations that they have invaded? What's mind boggeling is WHY these Nations allow them into their countries, when the track records of their "invasions' have proven disastrous... One instance comes to mind of a countries Prime Minister (John Howard...Australia) resisting the muslim demands, rioting and civil disorder that is beweildering to me. He publically ordered the muslim to "obey Australian Laws" or leave...and he was NOT RE-ELECTED! In a public article in the local newspaper in England, the Archbishop of Canterbury (Church of England no less) recommended that the muslim population in England (which is growing every day)be allowed to practice SHARIA law in place of the ENGLISH LAW for their own communities! I'm not sure if his "recommendation" was enacted , but even the thought of it is revolting. Now, the UNITED STATES is facing this "invasion"... With the verbage from the White House, extolling the "peaceful nation of islam" bull-shit and our ho-hum attitude, coupled with our PC politicians once again selling us out, under the guise of "Freedom of Religion", we're going to be faced with more danger to our Nation than Germany, Japan and eventually (after WW II) the USSR combined. When do we come to the conclusion that the muslims PUBLIC threats of killing us all is taken seriously? Consider that by estimate, there are TWO-BILLION muslims in the world and that twenty-percent of them are extremists....that's FOUR-HUNDRED MILLION loons roaming the earth...all of a mind set to destroy the "infidels" in the world, specifically, the GREAT SATAN (the United States). If we fail to resist this 'invasion", either by fear or attempting to be "politically correct" and "tolerant", we're going to pay one hell'va price. When any organization or church (Hussein Obama's Trinity Church...Chicago) publically promotes sedition and the abolition of the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES they are, rightfully, considered enemies of America! The mosques and madras's (schools?) that are being erected in the United States is becoming eerie...and we're standing by watching. Does ANYBODY that reads this blog think they are teaching US History or the Constitution? If you do, your aiding and abeting the eventual demise of this magnificient country. The media can only spin and propagandize so much...if every PATRIOTIC AMERICAN writes, phones, e-mails the media, talk-shows, news broadcasts with a bombardment of anti-muslim comments, sooner or later, the message will find it's way to our bought and paid for politicians. College student...politics

Funny, how young people have selected a presidential candidate without the slightest idea of why... Consider this exchange of thoughts with a beautiful 23 year old college student, with a major in "liberal science"... will graduate in May. I asked her who she liked in the coming election...of course, no surprise, Billery. I asked "why"? What traits and political pluses she admired most, to sway her to vote for Billery... She rambled on about her "experience" in the political arena, her knowledge of "world affairs", had a LOT of influence over her husband during his term in office (excuse me....that message seems to be selling in the younger set....) and knew how to handle the economy..... I then asked her if she was for same sex marriage...she answered NO... If she was for open boarder's...answered NO... Amnesty for illegals and if giving driver's licenses to "illegals" was a good idea....answered NO. Was she in favor of sancturay cities...after some explaining...answred NO. If we are actually seriously short on oil...and the price keeps going up to support OPEC, would she consider our oil companies drilling for billions of gallons of oil, off shore, ANWAR, Southern States, etc. etc. because of the glut we have (but can't drill for!) she thought that'd be a good idea.... When I told her Billery was FOR all the things she is against, I again asked if that made any difference? NOPE? If the "under 30 children" actually cast votes, with the lack of understanding the consequences that will surly befall us, WE'RE IN A HELL'VA MESS. I did'nt, sadly, have the opportunity to ask her what her thoughts were on Iraq and what to do there...I'm sure I know the answer. What's most dissappointing to me, is asking a lot of young people what their thoughts are on the coming election and the State of Affairs of our Nation...most readily admit they have no idea...what's worse than that, is that they DON'T GIVE A SHIT! Forget Exxon & Mobil -- Start with the real problem... The White House

This is a response to the email circulating around the internet asking people to not purchase ANY gasoline from EXXON and MOBIL.

I don't buy from Exxon/Mobil anyway...for the past four years. I doubt that my "volume" of purchase is going to scare them much! As for getting millions of people to stop buying from them (in some area's, that's the only source of fuel....so, are those folks going to ride bicycles?) is a bit more than the apathetic, nit-wit blue collar buyer is going to do... I have a better solution. It's the WHITE HOUSE! Problem is, most of the sum-bitches we "elect" are stock holder's in all of the oil companies, plus tie-in with OPEC... Come to think of it, when was the last refinery built in America? Thirty/forty years ago? The tree hugger's (including McCain...can't drill in ANWAR, etc.) are such a large voting block that the drum beat just goes on. I surly believe in capitalism, but RAPING the American Public like the oil companies have been doing for the past five/ten years is the biggest obstacle (over $1 Trillion to date and climbing....) mostly because of the financially able buying "futures", plus owning stock.... I was advised to stop complaining about the price of oil and buy stock in the petroleum market...great idea...but I, like most of the rank and file folks like me, CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY STOCK. It goes a lot deeper than just Exxon/Mobil... What is surprising is that we don't import more than 15% from Saudi and the Middle-East..mostly comes from down south and Taco-Land...plus a little from Canada... but OPEC still controls the price... How bout' this: WE STOP ANY AND ALL AIDE TO THE MIDDLE EAST! That includes the UN (a World farce...) imports/exports and call in any debts owed...including the bull-shit about how much we owe China and then you'll see some scrambling... We can survive...they can't. Oil is hard to digest... has very little food value.... It's going to take ten/fifteen year's to change the mess our rotten politicians have gotten us into....including the present occupant of the WH. Just ponder what we have running for the most powerful position in the World...a suspected muslim (that found Jesus in an Anti-American church) a bi-sexual and a liberal... hiding under the GOP mantle. McCain is as liberal as Billery...the only reason to vote for him is Iraq and terrorism...that I think he is strong on...as for the economy and political leanings, he's the same....amnesty, same-sex marriage (at last count) sanctuary cities, no oil facilities IN OUR OWN COUNTRY. He tried to get a bill passed for "OPEN BOARDER'S" but it was finally defeated via public outrage... not to mention our PC crowd in Washington DENYING ENGLISH as our NATION LANGUAGE. To say I'm bewildered at what is happening in this once GREAT NATION is an understatement. Even Australia (I love the Aussies...but don't understand what seems to motivate them....) is caving in to the muslims. Their PM (John Howard, I think his name is....) defied the muslims and told them to accept the Australian laws or go back to their hovels in the desert...tried to bring sanity to the country...and he WAS NOT RE-ELECTED... The Archbishop of Canterbury (Church of England) advised any and all that ENGLAND should allow the muslims to practice SHARIA law instead of the law of the land....have their own space and rules, most of which are against the law in civilized countries. No matter where you look in the world, most of the chaos is identified with one source..."muslim"...and still, the mantra from the White House is, the "peaceful nation of islam"... I've asked many times, from folks whom I think are knowledgable, name me ONE muslim country that is FREE! Because of this idiocy, you'd think the rest of the world would get the picture...Spain is totally controlled by muslims, France is about to be (good'ole France...they can't defend themselves against Monaco) taken over, Sweden is in dire straights, England is capitulating (maybe) to SHARIA LAW, most of Europe is falling under the threat that if they don't comply, terrorism will begin in earnest (what, the track record of blowing up bus'es and restaurants isn't serious?) add to that, the multitude of mosque's being erected here (especially on the Left-Coast) espousing the annihilation of the Great Satan (United States of America) and still, there is NO OUTRAGE from the public or our political PC hack's that are disgracing our CONSTITUTION and NATIONAL HERITAGE... I've got a great idea...why not elect to the Presidency of the United States that sheriff from Maricopa Country (Phoenix... Joe Arpeo...spelling?) for at least one term...the politicians in DC would be running for the hills after being exposed as the harlot's they are... Hell, I'd campaign for him. Hillary Clinton's Resume

Just in case you may think this person would make a good president.Hillary Clinton has been telling America that she is the most qualifiedcandidate for president based on her 'record,' which she says includes her eightyears in the White House as First Lady - or 'co-president' - and her seven yearsin the Senate. Here is a reminder of what that record includes:
- As First Lady, Hillary assumed authority over Health Care Reform, a processthat cost the taxpayers over $13 million. She told both Bill Bradley and PatMoynihan, key votes needed to pass her legislation, that she would 'demonize'anyone who opp osed it. But it was opposed; she couldn't even get it to a vote ina Congress controlled by her own party. (And in the next election, her partylost control of both the House and Senate.)
- Hillary assumed authority over selecting a female Attorney General. Her firsttwo recommendations (Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood) were forced to withdraw theirnames from consideration, and then she chose Janet Reno. Janet Reno has sincebeen described by Bill himself as 'my worst mistake.'
- Hillary recommended Lani Guanier for head of the Civil Rights Commission.When Guanier's radical views became known, her name had to be withdrawn.
- Hillary recommended her former law partners, Web Hubbell, Vince Foster, andWilliam Kennedy for positions in the Justice Department, White House staff, andthe Treasury, respectively. Hubbell was later imprisoned, Foster committedsuicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign.
- Hillary also recommended a close frie nd of the Clintons, Craig Livingstone,for the position of director of White House security. When Livingstone wasinvestigated for the improper access of up to 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies(Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, both Hillaryand her husband denied knowing him. (FBI agent Dennis Sculimbrene confirmed in aSenate Judiciary Committee in 1996 both the drug use and Hillary' involvement inhiring Livingstone. After that, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office,after serving seven presidents for over thirty years.)
- In order to open 'slots' in the White House for her friends the HarryThomasons (to whom millions of dollars in travel contracts could be awarded),Hillary had the entire staff of the White House T ravel Office fired; they werereported to the FBI for 'gross mismanagement' and their reputations ruined.After a thirty-month investigation, only one, Billy Dale, was charged with acrim e - mixing personal money with White House funds when he cashed checks. Thejury acquitted him in less than two hours.
- Another of Hillary's assumed duties was directing the 'bimbo eruption squad'and scandal defense:---- She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit.---- She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to theappointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars oftaxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, whichled to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs.---- Then they had to settle with Paula Jones after all.---- And Bill lost his law license for lying to the grand jury---- And Bill was impeached by the House.---- And Hillary almost got herself indicted for perjury and obstruction ofjustice (she avoided it mostly because she repeated, 'I do not recall,' 'I haveno recollection,' and 'I don't know' 56 times under oath).
- Hillary wrote 'It Takes a Village,' demonstrating her Socialist viewpoint.
- Hillary decided to seek election to the Senate in a state she had never livedin Her husband pardoned FALN terrorists in order to get Latino support and theNew Square Hassidim to get Jewish support. Hillary also had Bill pardon herbrother's clients, for a small fee, to get financial support.
- Then Hillary left the White House, but later had to return $200,000 in WhiteHouse furniture, china, and artwork she had stolen.
- In the campaign for the Senate, Hillary played the 'woman card' by portrayingher opponent (Lazio) as a bully picking on her.
- Hillary's husband further protected her by asking the National Archives towithhold from the public until 2012 many records of their time in the WhiteHouse, including much of Hillary's correspondence and her calendars. (There areongoing lawsuits to force the release of those recor ds.)
- As the junior Senator from New York, Hillary has passed no major legislation.she has deferred to the senior Senator (Schumer) to tend to the needs of NewYorkers, even on the hot issue of medical problems of workers involved in thecleanup of Ground Zero after 9/11.
- Hillary's one notable vote, supporting the plan to invade Iraq, she has sincedisavowed.Quite a resume`, isn't it? Sounds more like an organized crime family
